This is a mini project that I built entirely from scratch—integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components during—the summer break. The goal of this project is to keep a ball stable at certain position along a beam by adjusting the beam angle in real time using PID controller.
The balancing beam relies on a tilting mechanism powered by a servo. The entire assembly was designed in OnShape, and the frame was 3D printed using PLA. The support structure ensures stiffness and stability while keeping overall weight low.

A distance sensor tracks the ball’s position in real time. A PID controller, implemented on an Arduino, adjusts the servo angle based on feedback to stabilize the ball.
