Tag: Active Cooling • 3D Printing • Thermal Handling • PeltierThis project explores an active thermal management system for the Yonder Dynamics rover Science Module using a thermoelectric (Peltier) module coupled with a closed-loop liquid cooling circuit. The objective is to maintain chemical-based assays at room temperature to optimize their performance.
The system integrates a Peltier module, water block, DC pump, radiator. Besides that, PU foam is installed between internal and external walls of the science module for thermal insulation. Design considerations include thermal efficiency, serviceability, and mechanical robustness for mobile operation.
This project is currently in active development, with main focus in system integration and thermal performance optimization.
